Favorite Quote: “I've always found that the most beautiful people, truly beautiful inside and out, are the ones who are quietly unaware of their effect." His eyes searched mine intently, and for a moment we stood there toe to toe. "The ones who throw their beauty around, waste what they have? Their beauty is only passing. It's just a shell hiding nothing but shadows and emptiness.”

"Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is."

So this was a reread for me. I wanted to read this again since the final book came out this week, so I needed to refresh my memory. I have to say I loved this book even more the second time around! You will have so much fun reading this book. Obsidian is fast paced, blistering hot, unique, and hilarious. I can count on one hand how many alien books I have read. It seems like authors stay away from this concept. why they do I have no clue, because aliens are one concept that if done right could make you truly believe that aliens are walking among us. Armentrout does a brilliant job with her own concept of these extra terrestrial beings living a normal life on earth. Who knows maybe your sexy next door neighbor is really an alien! It's no surprise that Armentrout is one of my favorite authors and I have not read a book of hers that has let me down. So if you are wondering if I recommend this book then here is my answer DUH WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!!
Lets start of with Katy. She is the kind of girl that any book lover would want to be insta best friends with. She loves books and is just as crazy obsessed with them like we all are. She gets excited over getting new books, her house has books in every nook and cranny, she falls inlove and swoons over book boyfriends, and oh yeah one other thing, she has a book blog! Are you sold yet? Katy speaks her mind, is independent, self-sufficient, and strong. She is not only a strong female character that you can easily connect with, but also she's so sassy that she will have you laughing to the point that you may not be able to read this in public without embarrassing yourself.
Now I know what you are thinking by this point well what about Daemon? Well here is my definition of Daemon... SEXY point blank. Daemon has a mouth like a sailor, sexy body and he knows it, and that bad boy angst attitude that pushes Katy to her limits. Their banter from the start is hilarious. Armentrout is known for her funny banter between characters and this book is no exception. Want to know what else Armentrout is known for? Sexy scene that will have you blushing from head to toe and sitting in front of a fan trying to cool yourself down. Katy and Daemon may hate one another, but boy do they have chemistry, and fighting it only makes it hotter. I don't want to give too much away so I hope that this short review gives you enough encouragement to go and get this book, because I promise you won't be disappointed. If you have read this book then leave a comment letting me know what you thought, don't be shy ya'll know I love talking to you guys =)

Tea Review: Davids Tea Cold 911

Cold 911 Emergency relief Bad colds require kick butt interventions. Take this tea, for example. It’s a deliciously soothing mix of peppermint, juniper berries and apple. Pretty kick butt, right? If that’s not extreme enough for you, you could try eating raw garlic, or gargling salt water, or inhaling lots of steam. Yeah...we didn’t think so. Probably better just to stick to the tea. With its soothing citrus and mint aroma we can’t guarantee miracle results, but at least we can guarantee it tastes great. (MK Kosher) Ingredients Organic: Peppermint, apple, juniper berries. With natural eucalyptus and orange flavouring*.
So fun fact, while helping six year olds practice their reading you may will get spit on. Another fun fact when they are sick and spit on you, you will get sick and feel like the walking dead. Times like this is why I am so happy that I stocked up on some of Davids Tea . Yup you guessed it after being spit on I was sicker than a dog. I was coughing, running a fever, m…

Top Ten Tuesday: Villains

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This weeks Top Ten:Villains (favorite, best, worst, lovable, creepiest, most evil, etc.)
I couldn't decide which type of villain I wanted to write about, so that lead me to do subcategories. I feel like such a rebel!
Villains I Love To Hate
The Beautiful Pretender I have a review of this book coming soon so I won't say too much, but there is a character I absolutely hate. Most villains have redeeming qualities, but this character had lacked any of those qualities. She loved to hurt others and was completely heartless.
The Falconer The Villain in this book was completely cut throat, heartless, violent, and everything I love to hate. This Villain did things that ripped my heart out, stomped on it, then put it through a shredder.
Empire of Storms I have n…
