Favorite Quote: “I've always found that the most beautiful people, truly beautiful inside and out, are the ones who are quietly unaware of their effect." His eyes searched mine intently, and for a moment we stood there toe to toe. "The ones who throw their beauty around, waste what they have? Their beauty is only passing. It's just a shell hiding nothing but shadows and emptiness.”

"Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is."

So this was a reread for me. I wanted to read this again since the final book came out this week, so I needed to refresh my memory. I have to say I loved this book even more the second time around! You will have so much fun reading this book. Obsidian is fast paced, blistering hot, unique, and hilarious. I can count on one hand how many alien books I have read. It seems like authors stay away from this concept. why they do I have no clue, because aliens are one concept that if done right could make you truly believe that aliens are walking among us. Armentrout does a brilliant job with her own concept of these extra terrestrial beings living a normal life on earth. Who knows maybe your sexy next door neighbor is really an alien! It's no surprise that Armentrout is one of my favorite authors and I have not read a book of hers that has let me down. So if you are wondering if I recommend this book then here is my answer DUH WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!!
Lets start of with Katy. She is the kind of girl that any book lover would want to be insta best friends with. She loves books and is just as crazy obsessed with them like we all are. She gets excited over getting new books, her house has books in every nook and cranny, she falls inlove and swoons over book boyfriends, and oh yeah one other thing, she has a book blog! Are you sold yet? Katy speaks her mind, is independent, self-sufficient, and strong. She is not only a strong female character that you can easily connect with, but also she's so sassy that she will have you laughing to the point that you may not be able to read this in public without embarrassing yourself.
Now I know what you are thinking by this point well what about Daemon? Well here is my definition of Daemon... SEXY point blank. Daemon has a mouth like a sailor, sexy body and he knows it, and that bad boy angst attitude that pushes Katy to her limits. Their banter from the start is hilarious. Armentrout is known for her funny banter between characters and this book is no exception. Want to know what else Armentrout is known for? Sexy scene that will have you blushing from head to toe and sitting in front of a fan trying to cool yourself down. Katy and Daemon may hate one another, but boy do they have chemistry, and fighting it only makes it hotter. I don't want to give too much away so I hope that this short review gives you enough encouragement to go and get this book, because I promise you won't be disappointed. If you have read this book then leave a comment letting me know what you thought, don't be shy ya'll know I love talking to you guys =)

Back to School: Percy Jackson Style

As any fangirl or fanboy wherever you go you want to show your love of books. Being lovers of books we are a unique kind. We crush over fictional characters, they become our best friends, when they hurt we hurt. Books are our escape, our passion, our fun, hobby, friend, books are our lives. Pride comes with being a book nerd and it's something you should embrace. These books we love sometimes take over. We love them so much we want to be a part of that world. I wanted to help find ways for you to always feel close to your favorite books and characters. This week I wanted to do Percy Jackson because I mean who doesn't like Percy Jackson?! These outfits are loosely inspired by some of the loved characters from The Percy Jackson series or the book covers. I stayed on pinterest for hours (shocker right?) to find outfits that have simple pieces that you can find in your closet or wouldn't be hard to find for a good price at stores. I also wanted to find outfits that could easil

Review: Becoming Alpha by Aileen Erin

Title: Becoming Alpha  Author: Aileen Erin  Genre: Paranormal Fantasy  Pages: 267 Goodreads Overall Rating: 4.11 Published:  December 17th, 2013 by Ink Monster, LLC   My Rating:  I can’t do that. I can’t turn my emotions off and on like that. I’m either all in or all out. And if you can’t do that—if I don’t come first, then for God’s sake, leave me alone. Becoming Alpha is the true definition of YA paranormal fantasy and I devoured it. Erin took troupes that are known in YA and ran with them in fun, plausible, and exciting ways while taking her own spin on them. I sped through this book and right after I downloaded the next book in the series because I couldn't wait for the two-day shipping of the physical book.  At the beginning of the book, we meet our main character Tessa and her family. Tessa has an unusual gift and it has marked her as the odd girl out at and causing her to feel isolated. With her family wanting to give her a sense o
