Title: The Infinite Sea ( The 5th Wave #2)
By: Rick Yancey
Publication Date: September 16th 2014
The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as “wildly entertaining.”

"How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.

Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate."
I had to talk about this book because with all the talk about the movie, yes there is going to be a movie of The 5th Wave if you did not know. I loved the 5th Wave and I cannot wait to get my hands on The Infinite Sea. I would also like to talk about how Chloe Grace Moretz will be playing Cassie in the movie. Can I just take a moment to fangirl because to me Chloe looks EXACTLY like Cassie to me, and I also think Chloe is a fantastic actress. If you have not read The 5th Wave what are you waiting for? Truly a original fascinating fast pace book that had me freaking out with every turn of the page.
As always let me know what book you are waiting for this Wednesday. If you are a new follower let me know, and leave a link to your blog! =)

The Shadow Prince (Into the Dark #1) by: Bree Despain

"Haden Lord, the disgraced prince of the Underrealm, has been sent to the mortal world to entice a girl into returning with him to the land of the dead. Posing as a student at Olympus Hills High—a haven for children of the rich and famous—Haden must single out the one girl rumored to be able to restore immortality to his race.

Daphne Raines has dreams much bigger than her tiny southern Utah town, so when her rock star dad suddenly reappears, offering her full tuition to Olympus Hills High’s prestigious music program, she sees an opportunity to catch the break she needs to make it as a singer. But upon moving into her estranged father’s mansion in California, and attending her glamorous new school, Daphne soon realizes she isn’t the only student in Olympus who doesn’t quite belong.

Haden and Daphne—destined for each other—know nothing of the true stakes their fated courtship entails. As war between the gods brews, the teenagers’ lives collide. But Daphne won’t be wooed easily and when it seems their prophesied link could happen, Haden realizes something he never intended—he’s fallen in love. Now to save themselves, Haden and Daphne must rewrite their destinies. But as their destinies change, so do the fates of both their worlds."
I have already started this and a review will be up soon. I have mix feelings on it so stay tuned to see why =)

The Deep End of the Sea By Heather Lyons

"What if all the legends you’ve learned were wrong?

Brutally attacked by one god and unfairly cursed by another she faithfully served, Medusa has spent the last two thousand years living out her punishment on an enchanted isle in the Aegean Sea. A far cry from the monster legends depict, she’s spent her time educating herself, gardening, and desperately trying to frighten away adventure seekers who occasionally end up, much to her dismay, as statues when they manage to catch her off guard. As time marches on without her, Medusa wishes for nothing more than to be given a second chance at a life stolen away at far too young an age.

But then comes a day when Hermes, one of the few friends she still has and the only deity she trusts, petitions the rest of the gods and goddesses to reverse the curse. Thus begins a journey toward healing and redemption, of reclaiming a life after tragedy, and of just how powerful friendship and love can be—because sometimes, you have to sink in the deep end of the sea before you can rise back up again."
I am so happy about getting this book BECAUSE Sarah from Words With Sarah  and I have exciting news that has to do with this book. We will be announcing it soon =)

This weeks question:
" Have any pets? Tell us or show us."
I love this question because I have two fur babies. We have a cat named Percy (yes that's right we named him after Percy Jackson no judgments right?)  He is very curious and sneaky and Junebug our dog is always nose to nose with this look of LOVE ME LOVE ME I'M ADORABLE!!!!
Here is Percy taking my hair ties. He is sneaky I couldn't figure out where all my hair ties were going so I followed him. He was hiding them in a huge pile along with one of Junes favorite treats.
Here's another picture of Percy when he got a Walmart bag stuck on his body when he was being too curious. We think the name Percy fits him perfectly. He ran through the house like a mad man trying to get that bag off of him. I was in tears from laughing so hard.
Junebug our lovable pit bull loves smiling. My husband woke up to this look. I can see where if you didn't know her it may look scary but this is Junes GOODMORNING SUNSHINE LET ME OUTSIDE look.
Every time either one of us get up to use the bathroom or for whatever reason June thinks it is every man for himself, and she will take your spot. Yes yall our dog will do anything to lay on our pillows. I mean come on how can you move her when she looks that cute?!
Well those are our beautiful crazy fur babies. Do you have any, if so make sure to leave me a comment showing or telling me about them! If you did this post makes sure to leave a link so I can see your babies. If you are a new follower as always let me know =) Love you guys!

Review: Scarlet by Marrissa Meyer

Series: The Lunar Chronicles #2
Average Rating on Goodreads: 4.32
Published: February 5th 2013 by Feiwel and Friends
Pages: 454 pages
Favorite Quote: “I knew they would kill me when they found out, but…” He struggled for words, releasing a sharp breath. “I think I realized that I would rather die because I betrayed them, than live because I betrayed you.”
"Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison--even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive. Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner."
Lets start with the good okay? I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a great read and I found myself on multiple nights staying up late thinking there is no time for sleep. I just had to find out what happened to my beloved characters. This book had my heart pounding at times, tears rolling down my face, I was angry at times yelling "You tell them girl!!!", and I also smiled like a crazy person. So yes this book is great at getting reaction out of the reader. The characters were complex in the best way. Scarlet is full of fire and brave. Cinder lovers don't panic you will be reading a lot of her. There are new characters that I loved, and loved to hate. Meyer took Cinder and Scarlet's separate stories and twined them together in a fantastic shocking way. I thought this was a great sequel and it had me excited for the next book. So do I recommend this book and you going on with the series? Absolutely yes!
Now that I have said that do I think it is better then Cinder? No I loved Cinder and to me, it would be very hard to out do it. Scarlet was beautiful and I think Meyers has a great talent for really sinking the reader into the world she created and making a beloved story into her own. However this book had a few flaws I had a hard time getting past. I am picky about books that have different POVS. I think that it is EXTREMLY difficult to get two POVS to work. This book had MANY POVS. Some POVS were short and almost felt not needed in my opinion. I found myself at times forgetting whose POV I was reading. Like I said though, I am picky and weird with POVS. Sometimes it just takes me awhile to get use to them and after a few chapters I get use to it. With this book it took a little longer then normal for me to get use to it and I sadly felt the need to let you guys know. That was my main concern. What did you guys like about this book? Let me know what you guys thought about Scarlet, and don't be shy I love hearing from you guys! =)

"The first in a series of four epic tales set in the depths of the ocean, where six mermaids seek to protect and save their hidden world.

Deep in the ocean, in a world not so different from our own, live the merpeople. Their communities are spread throughout the oceans, seas, and freshwaters all over the globe.

Now, Serafina must embark on a quest to find the assassin's master and prevent a war between the Mer nations. Led only by her shadowy dreams, Sera searches for five other mermaid heroines who are scattered across the six seas. So I don't know about you guys but around this time of year I want mermaid books and I want them now! There is something about mermaid books that just mesmerize me. I get lost in the stories and drift to a land where the magical and mythical veil is lifted and I can be excited that all my hopes and dreams of Ariel are real and if I listen closely I can hear her singing. Crazy I know but like I said I am in love with mermaids and any book that can let me drift into the land where mermaids are real sign me up!
I have seen this book on MANY blogs that received a arc of this book and they just rave about it. This made my excitement go to a entirely new level and it is coming out soon *happy dance* So tell me, do you like mermaid books? Tell me your summer guilty pleasure reads, and if you have read this book let me know you thoughts on it! As always if you are a new follower make sure to let me know and if you have a blog leave your link so I can check it out! =)

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS I HAVE MISSED YOU GUYS!!! I have been so lost without my blog. I knew my blog meant a lot to me, but I had no idea how quickly Books To The Tea has become part of me. I feel like having this blog was the key that unlocked a part of me I didn't even know I was missing. I would like to say thank you for you guys who read my blog and take the time to comment letting me know yes, there are people out there who enjoy reading what I have to say. I hope I haven't disappointed too many of you guys for my lack of posts.
If you did not know, the hubby and I moved. If you have ever moved you know what a long process it is.We haven't unboxed everything, but the majority is done. Not only did we move but we upgraded from a condo to a house. Which is great and I feel truly blessed, but we barely had enough furniture to fill our condo up. So we have been spending all our free time running around everywhere trying to find great sales on furniture. Which is fun but can be a slow process and stressful. However we have almost got the house finished and we are so happy with how it is coming along.
It is safe to say we all (including the fur babies) love our new home. Now that we are settled I can get back to what I love, reading and....BLOGGING =) I have a few fun things that will be coming your way starting in May! I am beyond excited to share with you guys but you will have to wait just a little longer before I can let you in on the secret. I know I'm evil right? Sorry but don't worry you wont have to wait long. Just make sure you are subscribed so when I post the special announcements you will be the first to know =)
