Audiobook Review: Firelight by: Sophie Jordan

Title : Firelight Series: Firelight #1 Author: Sophie Jordan Narrator: Therese Plummer Overall Goodreads Rating: 3.91 Length of Audiobook: 9 HRS 36 MINS Published: September 7th 2010 by HarperTeen My Rating: 3/5 Stars      In A Nutshell This was a fun read with angst teenage love, drama, and draki's. I enjoyed this book and feel like it would be a good read to read or listen to on a summer day, during a reading marathon, or on vacation. The narrator was fantastic and she did well when it came to changing her voice for different characters and keeping my attention. This book wasn't mind blowing (it liked a little depth) but it was a book that I looked forward to listening to when I had some free time. Your main character Jacinda is a draki who is taken from her draki life and thrown into high school where there are cute boys, mean girls, and all the angst that comes with it. Jacinda misses her old life and has to decide which life sh

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by   The Broke and the Bookish February 10 : Top Ten Things I Like/Dislike When It Comes To Romances In Books (can do a full list or split it up in likes/dislikes or even things you want to see MORE of in romances in fiction)     What I do Like A gentleman . It's nice to have a "bad" boy in the book, but I think it is important to let women know how they SHOULD be treated. I love when I read a book and the girl is treated with respect! Love that is quotable. I LOVE quotes I have posts that are dedicated to book quote tattoos. I want to truly FEEL the characters love, and when an author is talented enough to throw in lines that sound like poetry I freak out and start debating on making it a tattoo, have it embroider on pillows, putting it on a hoodie, anything and everything. Don't hate! Pay off to the build up Lets be real if I am going to read 365 pages of angst and build up, there better be an epic rom

Books That Made Me Want To Workout

Okay so  I didn't make any resolutions this year, but I have been trying to be healthier. I've been hanging out with woman who take their health serious, my husband is REALLY into working out, and I am over here thinking about how Dunkin Donuts has their brownie batter donuts right now. Yeah I know, but I am trying I swear. The problem with me is I get bored extremely easy working out and I cannot find anything that truly keeps my attention and if I don't like something, I will not do it. I need motivation and I will be honest when I read a book that has a female character who talks about working out and she kicks butt, I cannot help but be motivated and I start to try new workouts.   So without farther rambling I will share some books/ characters that helped me get motivated to start working out more.   Half-Blood Alex is such a hard core girl. She works HARD and you get to see her struggles with working out. She works with a VERY sexy instructor doing h

I will listen to one on the way to work, school, or to visit my parents. It really makes the drive go a lot faster. I LOVE to listen to a book while I am cleaning and cooking. I highly recommend listening to a great book while cleaning if you are like me and hate cleaning. At night is when I read an actually book. Reading at night really relaxes me and

Tea Review: Davids Tea Cold 911

Cold 911 Emergency relief Bad colds require kick butt interventions. Take this tea, for example. It’s a deliciously soothing mix of peppermint, juniper berries and apple. Pretty kick butt, right? If that’s not extreme enough for you, you could try eating raw garlic, or gargling salt water, or inhaling lots of steam. Yeah...we didn’t think so. Probably better just to stick to the tea. With its soothing citrus and mint aroma we can’t guarantee miracle results, but at least we can guarantee it tastes great. (MK Kosher) Ingredients Organic: Peppermint, apple, juniper berries. With natural eucalyptus and orange flavouring*. So fun fact, while helping six year olds practice their reading you may will get spit on. Another fun fact when they are sick and spit on you, you will get sick and feel like the walking dead. Times like this is why I am so happy that I stocked up on some of Davids Tea . Yup you guessed it after being spit on I was sicker than a dog. I was co
