Tea Talk: Christmas Gift Guide for Everyone in Your Life

Today I am going to recommend gifts for everyone in your life. Of course as book lovers, we want to give books to everyone! Sadly, not everyone gets excited about reading as we do, but we refuse to give up! Here are a few gift suggestions for the readers, and nonreaders in your life! PLUS I will give you ideas on packaging ideas that will be a hit! For the political obsessed person in your life and/or history nut. I have given these books to: Grandparents, father-in-law, history teacher, and my neighbor who is in the air force. BTW: My neighbor hates reading, and he finished these books in a month!     For the Newlyweds Packaging: Put all items on a cute serving tray. The couple can enjoy a morning or brunch in bed discussing their love languages. All you have to do is wrap the serving tray in clear wrapping and tie it with ribbon.  The Five Love Languages This book shows the different types of love languages there are. Trust me

Tea Talk: YA Christmas Books, Mood Reading, and Teaching

First of all, I am so happy to be back! As some of you know I have been reading ALOT of children lit for one class.....and when I say a lot I mean 18 books in 3 months. I also had to nit pick them all, write lesson plans for them, and then teach on some of them. While teaching is such a blessing and a gift, it is also beyond time consuming. Since my blog is mostly on YA books I did not want to fill this blog up on teaching ideas on children books. Although, if every now and then you want a feature on children books that I liked and did not like, let me know and I can make it happen! Now, on to the good stuff! I feel like this is the time of year I get to read a lot. Thanksgiving break, Christmas breaks, snow days etc. During this time of year I get into mood reading, but my mood seems to not fit a category YA can help me with. I get in the mood to read CHRISTMAS books, winter romances, warm happy books that take place during winter. Basically I want a Hallmark movie in YA book for

Tea Talk: Are You a Good Closer?

I haven't written a Tea Talk in a long time, and I really miss them! So today I want to ask are you a good closer? What I mean by that is when you have a series you LOVE and the last book FINALLY releases do you read it right then or do you wait because you cannot stand thinking your beloved series will come to an end?   My personal experience is this, I get all excited I bog about the last book coming out on my Waiting on Wednesday posts, and I talk non stop about the book. Then the book finally releases and on that day I normally go and get the book as soon as I can! I start reading it, and then about 6 chapters in it hits me, I'm not ready! I'm not ready for my beloved series to end! No more adventures with the characters that have become friends I have to say goodbye. Sure I can reread the book but we all know it isn't the same. (Don't get me wrong I still reread my favorite books) Then the anxiety hits, what if this amazing series ends horribly? Ma
