Frostbite Essentials Part 2

Rose talks about how her room is beyond luxurious. She loves the huge bathtub and the deluxe bed that is in the middle of her amazing suite.   To go with the luxury of the ski lodge and some fun situations and places Rose and her friends find the perfect way to feel in character in this part of the book is to have a spa day! I will give you some links for some nice spa treatments, and also simple ways you can make your own house look and feel like a high-end spa.    Now if you want a one stop place  this blog has amazing DIY spa recipes. It even has explanations of why the ingredients are good for you. I am sure that most of you have heard of the detox bath with Epsom salt, baking soda, and ginger. I have tried this and LOVE it. I do this bath often right before going to bed. I grab my book and soak for as long as I can handle it. I do skip the ginger often because it will make you sweat....ALOT. The ginger really releases the toxins out of your body. Adding essential oils r

Book Of The Week Review: Frostbite

Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose... It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy’s crawling with Guardians—including Rose’s hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to-hand combat with her mom wasn’t bad enough, Rose’s tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason’s got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risks... This year, St. Vlad’s annual holiday ski trip is mandatory. But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price... Now I know w

Date Ideas Inspired By: Vampire Academy

This book was hard to do date ideas for, but with some thought I came up with a few. I hope you enjoy them! THESE DATES GIVE SPOILERS, IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS POST. 1.) Rose loves action, fighting, learning how to protect Lissa, etc. If you want to feel empowered and get your adrenaline rush I HIGHLY recommend taking a kickboxing class or any self-defense class. I know many gyms will provide these classes for their members FOR FREE!!!! Taking classes like this can be fun to take with your partner or with friends. I have taken one with Chris and he liked knowing that after the class I knew a few new ways to take care of myself. (He is always making me learn self defense tactics incase I was every in a bad situation he's a worry wart.) 2.) If you are like Lissa and love animals than going to an animal shelter and helping with them can be fun! Many animal shelters like when people come to volunteer because they cannot always take out all the dog

Vampire Academy Soundtrack

Hey guys! So I wanted to share with you guys the soundtrack for Vampire Academy ! I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE music in movies. I truly believe that the music playing can empower a scene and really bring the audience's emotions to the surface. I may just be weird or a nerd but I always get excited over soundtracks. Music can play a huge role in getting the audience in the right mind frame for the scene that is playing. I always pray they pick good music, and I have to say this soundtrack is GREAT! It is full of fun songs, and all I could think was this is the PERFECT track to listen to when your girls are over, or in the car on your way to a girls night to go dancing. Which I think is BRILLANT because this book is all about high school and Rose and Lissa reminiscing about all the parties they have enjoyed over the years. They nailed it with the soundtrack. I literally laughed SO hard when I heard Red Lips because it really made me think of Rose and Mia! It was just

Tea Of The Week

On a cold day nothing is better than sitting by the fireplace, with a blanket, a good book, and a nice hot cup of tea. This week has been pretty cold and extremely windy so I wanted a tea that was rich and warm. Stash's Chai Spice Black Tea is what has been hitting the spot this week. This tea is AMAZING it is very flavorful and is what I expect from a chai. The spices are very potent it is not a subtle tea so if you don't like the taste of ginger, cinnamon, cloves, spices similar to them, then please do not try this tea. I love me some tea, but I am NOT one of those people who can drink tea plain. For this specific tea I love to let it cool a little bit than put some honey in it, and a little bit of fresh lemon juice. If I have a day that I feel like I am getting a little sick I will put some fresh ginger in it and it really gives it a nice kick. If you like your chai to be more of a creamy tea than milk and stevia go great with this tea and will give it that sweet thi

Vampire Academy Book Thoughts

Vampire Academy was a quick read. I flew through it and I enjoyed it once I got over being confused. If you read this book and get confused on the names/types of vampires, power through my friend because it will finally click I promise. This is a book I recommend because as soon as I finished the book my first thought was to go get the second book immediately. There was mystery, action, comedy, romance, true high school drama, and weird friendships with some unique baggage. You get a diverse group of characters so I feel like it will be easy to connect with at least one of them throughout the series, but I will say I had a hard time investing emotions or connections with these characters in the first book. From everyone that I have asked this series is one that grows with every book. I enjoy series like that because you get the sense of the characters growing into their true selves. I would rather read a series that grew than one that had an amazing first book and the rest of the ser

What to expect from Books To The Tea

Hey guys! First I would like to say thank you so much for checking my blog out. I really hope you enjoy the blog enough to subscribe and keep coming back to see what’s new J Now I’m sure you guys want to know what to expect on this blog. This blog is called BOOKS TO THE TEA for a reason. This blog is going do reviews and discussions on books, but so much more. If you want recipes to go along with the book you got it. If a character in the book talks a lot about a certain food you can be certain that there will be a recipe posted. If you want not just a woman’s thoughts on a book, but also a man’s than look no farther, my husband will be doing some posts as well. We frequently read the same books, and I thought it would be nice to let our readers see the male’s point of view as well. I will also be doing fun date ideas that are center around certain books. I find that these dates are always fun for us booklovers and they really set the mood for you to be able to talk and discuss the
