Dream Cast: Trial by Fire

When I did my giveaway I had you guys leave comments as a entry to let me know what kind of posts you would like to see. Dream cast posts was a very popular answer. I have wanted to do this for awhile and your answers just made me want to even more. Trial by Fire was such a great book with fantastic characters so of course I wanted to make it my first dream cast post. Make sure to check my review out for Trial by Fire ! I only casted for Lily, Tristian, and Rowan. Since this is my first dream cast I didn't want to go over board.      For me Lily was so hard to try to find an actress that fit her look. If you have read the book than I think you could understand why. I ended up choosing Jane Levy   For Tristian the high school player that everyone wants I picked Brenton Thwaites. I know Tristian is suppose to have longer hair, but when I saw this picture I just saw Tristian.   Okay Matt Lanter was the perfect Rowan!   So what do you guys think? I would lo

Book Haul, Sickness, & Football

Hey guys I am so sorry for the last week. I know I haven't blogged, if you follow me on twitter (and you should) then you know that I had an awful week about a week and half ago. It started out with the stomach flu, oh boy was that fun. On top of that I felt a LITTLE better on Friday and that was good because we had to pack up and get ready for a weekend trip. We had tickets for a football game, and had already got the tickets, and had plans to spend the weekend with friends we hadn't seen in months. Do you want to laugh, because I can give you one. I never thought about having the stomach flu not mixing well with sitting in the hottest time of the day for four hours. Yup I sat in a stadium over 90 degrees while being dehydrated. Oh and our car was over a mile away with HUGE hills to climb on the way. I got so dehydrated I got sick at the game, and was so dizzy by the time we got to the car I couldn't see straight and shook so bad my teeth chattered. Yuuuuup with that happe

I literraly did a happy dance around the house. No shame, just living the life of a blogger we get excited over some crazy things.      Well I guess my answer is pretty simple. I didn't have a lot of friends growing up that read so I didn't have anyone to recommend books to me. My mom and I would at least once a month drive the hour drive to the nearest bookstore and we would browse for hours! (Sorry we wasn't about to drive

BACK TO SCHOOL: Schools in Books

This week on Back to School I wanted to help you guys feel in sync with some great characters. I wanted to pick some books for you guys that I love that take place in school environments. Now school will not be the main point or problem these characters go through, but they do go through some of the tough situations and stress you guys do at school. Some characters live on campus and deal with the drama of being independent for the first time, missing home, the struggle of finding who they truly are, drama, and parties. College is a hard time for many people because you are finding your own self on your own terms. Mommy and daddy aren't there to tell you what to do or how to act. Some struggle while others flourish.   I HAD to put girls in this post that loved to learn and enjoyed the structure of school. I sometimes forget that learning can be looked at on a bright note. It's hard to remember that when you have 5 gazillion papers to write. I picked two girls I thought

YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS

So I know this is different kind of post but I want your help. After reading Doon and I am currently reading Trial by Fire I am becoming obsessed with parallel worlds! I just love the idea of fumbling on an entrance to a different world. It makes me think could this be possible or at least I would like it to be. I have been day dreaming of different worlds for the last couple of weeks and I just have so much fun with it! After thinking about that and not finding many books that caught my eye that involve different worlds this post came to mind. This maybe a new kind of post a do on my blog if it gets comments. I really would love to hear some of your guy's recommendations. What are some books you LOVED and want to share the amazing book with others? It doesn't have to be a book about parallel worlds that is just the kind of book I am obsessing over right now, but I still want to read other types of books. Tell me some books that blew your mind.   <div style="

I love writing YA probably because that is my favorite genre to read personally. I do get afraid to ever take writing seriously because with so many YA books I have read, I am terrified that I would copy someone else's idea with out even realizing it! Is that anyone else's fear? Do you guys write? If so please let me know. You guys know I love hearing from you! Leave me links to

I know you were expecting a WoW today, but guys do you know what yesterday was?! THE BEST DAY EVER! Yesterday was a great book release day and I went ham on those babies, but first let me tell you how the day started. I was so excited to get the books I wanted so I drove straight to my local bookstore. I was looking around and couldn't find ANY of the books. I just thought they hadent put them out yet. So I go upfront to ask and this is what they say "Ohhhh we didn't order any of those...." I think I just stood there for a few minutes not comprehending what he said. I was dumbfounded. How on earth do you have a bookstore and not keep up with the MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF THE YEAR?! As a bookstore owner it is your job to keep up with things like this. ANYWAYS so we drove over an hour to the nearest bookstore and got them there instead. It was so worth the drive! Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini Yup you bet your sweet cakes I got this sucker!
