Tea Talk

I just wanted to talk with you guys today. I think I will do Tea Talks every now and then to let you guys know what's going on in my life. Every follower to me is a friend, and who else would be a better choice to talk to than your friends right?!
I haven't posted in awhile because some great things have happened that I wanted to just live in the moment for and embrace the changes in my life. There also were some pretty crappy times that I know for a fact have gave me some gray hairs. ( Note to self: need to call hair stylist.) So grab a cup of tea, let me tell you about the last couple of weeks and weeks to come. After that leave me comments letting me know what is going on with you guys =) Let the feelings fly!
  • Some of you may know my husband and I were best friends for YEARS before we even thought of dating much less getting married. So I have known all of his friends for years. He has had the same best friend since he was in the 6th grade. I never described them as best friends, brothers is a better name for them. This friend got married a couple of weekends ago! It is crazy to see how far he has come. His bride is his perfect match, and it was truly touching to watch someone that you have known for years grow up in a flash and be so mature and in love. It was breath taking and the funniest wedding I have ever been to.
  •  Sadly friends move away, and we got to see some friends we haven't seen in over a year at this wedding, and it was great catching up. The guy who got married has moved about 4 hours away from us, and we have been planning a trip to take with them in a couple of months!
  •  BACHELORS IN THE HOUSE....MY HOUSE I'm not sure if its the fact that Chris and I got married, the friend a talked about earlier just got married, and now another guy from their little manly clique just got engaged, but the bachelors in the group are starting to become clingers to the third degree!!! I currently have one of the bachelors on our couch rumbling the house with his snores while I type this. He got here last night and is talking about staying another night... OHHHHH and he called the other guys in the group and made plans to come stay the weekend AGAIN NEXT WEEKEND AND INVITED TWO OTHER GUYS TO COME WITH HIM!!!!!!! I love have guests, but I thought part of being a guest was getting invited by the host not inviting yourself. Saturdays are my only ME AND HUBBY day and I take advantage of those days. Sadly I guess I wont be having one of those days for awhile.
  • THE GOOD WITCH If you guys have not watched these movies they are HALLMARK MOVIES that are amazing! TODAY THEY ARE HAVING A MARATHON ON THE HALLMARK CHANNEL ALL DAY AND TONIGHT A NEW GOOD WITCH MOVIE COMES ON!!!!!!! I love these movies and they make me happy and can turn my frown upside down!
  • MIDTERMS ARE A NIGHTMARE I have had midterms for the last two weeks. I am currently doing 15 hours at school and it sucks as bad as it sounds. I also have two HUGE projects due Tuesday so we all know what I will be doing this weekend.
  • MY ANNIVERSARY IS COMING UP Chris and I will be married for a year in November AND our DATING anniversary is on Thanksgiving! on the 21st we will be married for a year and on the 27th we will be together for a total of 6 years! Gah the time has flown by and I love him more every day. We have been playing a trip for that so any free time I get that is what I have been doing.
  • I AM HOSTING THANKSGIVING FOR THE FIRST TIME. I couldn't be more excited/scared about this. Most of my family has not seen my house since we moved. So my aunt, uncle, cousins, EVERYBODY will be here to see the house and see my hosting skills. I AM A MESSY PERSON so I have to start working on my cleaning skills to make it perfect for Thanksgiving. ALSO THE HUBBYS FAMILY WILL BE OVER THAT SATURDAY AGAIN I AM HOSTING THANKSGIVING, BUT FOR HUBBYS FAMILY. I have been looking up recipes and trying to get them perfect for these two days. I am going to gain so much weight by the time Thanksgiving gets here I wont be able to fit through the door!
  • SOMEHOW I HAVE READ ALOT. The last couple of weeks have been crazy, and yet somehow I have read around 6 or 7 books in the last 3 weeks. That has been a record for me, and I have no idea how I did it. I guess I just needed some major relaxing and escaping from all the chaos going on. So be sure to come subscribe so you know when a review goes up because I read some GREAT books!
So that is what has been going on with me. How about you guys? Let me know what is going on with ya'll! Well I hear the bear coming to life so I have to go play gracious hostess and make breakfast. While I am doing that I think I am going to go through my contacts and try to get these guys some dates. I need my weekends back!!!! Let me know if you like posts like this!!!! Happy reading ya'll!!!!!

Characters I Never Trust

There are certain characters I never trust. If there is a murder, someone out to destroy the main character, and/or mysterious things are happening, it is almost always one of these characters behind it.
  • The overly helpful adult or superior. This could be a teacher or leader that is always there to save you at the last minute. The superior who has all the answer that you need to solve the mystery.
  • Family member from the love interests side. It may be a mother who thinks the girl isn't good enough for her son or the power hungry father.
  • Shy background/secondary character. The character who is awkward and maybe the friend that is in the circle because of a family link or the circle just feels sorry for them. The shy character who gets looked over and holds a grudge. You gotta watch the quite ones!
  • Characters that come out of no where. The characters who coincidently show up  right before all cray breaks lose. It could be a long time friend that just so happens to be visiting the same town the main character is. A long lost uncle who comes to the rescue when the main characters parents die.
  • Power driven characters. We all know that if there is someone who wants power they will stop at NOTHING to get it.
  • The unexpected love interest. The boy who just shows up. New in town and starts crushing on the main character the second she starts having problems with the main love interest. Yeah that new boy has a name and its either called trouble OR the real "bad" guy has something that belongs to the new boy and the only way he can get it back is if he gives our main character to the bad guy. Yeah that was confusing to try to explain, but I am pretty sure we all have read a book that had that issue in it so hopefully you got my drift.
Yup and those are main characters I never trust and I am always suspicious of. I point at the book and yell THEY DID IT I KNOW IT!!!!!! Yes I actually do that. You cant judge me!
What characters do you never trust and point the finger at when things go wrong?

Review: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

Series: #4 Throne of Glass series
Overall Rating on Goodreads: 4.63!!!!!
Published: September 2nd 2014 by Bloomsbury USA Childrens
Pages: 565
Lost and broken, Celaena Sardothien’s only thought is to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend: as the King of Adarlan’s Assassin, she is bound to serve this tyrant, but he will pay for what he did. Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn. Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King’s Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan’s biggest threat – and his own toughest enemy.

While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love?
First off can I say that this book has one of the highest ratings on Goodreads that I have ever seen? Also I have not heard ONE person say they didn't like this book, and there is a great reason for that because this book is EPIC!!!!! So many questions are answered in this one. I don't want to give too much a way in case someone is reading this who has not read the first two books. Lets be honest we all do it at some point. I loved the world building in this book because it not only gives us extraordinary details, but it also answers a lot of questions that were left unexplained in the first two books. HOLY CRAP were things intense when we learn We get to see so much more of the true Celaene and not just scratch the surface. I always loved Celaene but now I feel like I understand her and know the true her. She finds herself and we get to take part of that journey which is EPIC in case you were wondering. BEST CHARACTER GROWTH EVER, and not just from Celaene. There were old characters that we all have grown to love. They get their own spots in the spotlight in this book which I enjoyed. It was nice to see them as individuals and not just what they are to Celaene. We get to see their true feelings, beliefs, and their own problems.
There are new characters that were introduced and every single one of them were fantastic. These characters are so well developed that you love to love them or love to hate them. There is not one character that was introduced that felt not needed which happens often in books.
This is a huge book and you guys have heard before how I feel sometimes with big books. I will feel overwhelmed with all the information the book gives me, I feel like I will forget something important. I will feel like I will never finish the book and end up feeling discouraged. I DID NOT feel that way with this book because I flew through it. I was shocked at how fantastic this book was. How do these books keep getting better and better? If you are scared this book will disappoint you don't. You will love this book just as much as I do.
Make sure to let me know you thoughts on this book =)

Halloween Spirit Haul

I wanted to get books to get me into the spirit for Halloween. Now mind you, I do NOT like to get scared. I am a HUGE chicken and proud of it. I blame it on my cousin who made me watch Scream at a young age. I mean some of the trick or treaters that show up at the house freak me out. I don't give candy to the kids dressed as Scream....just kidding.

But what I do enjoy is reading paranormal books thinking MAYBE situations can happen. Maybe there are more than one world, maybe there are magic worlds and we just don't know it because we are a bunch of muggles. Don't hate on me, but when I read Twilight which I loved and still do. I couldn't help but think what if sexy vampire and werewolves were real? I CALL JACOB!!!! this is the time of year to let your mind go wild and let your imagination run wild like it use to when you were a child. I bought 7 books to read to get me into the spirit and I also got a couple of other things I think you guys will like =)

Jessica from a GREAT read recommended this book to me. She is a great review with incredible taste so I trust her judgment. If you haven't checked her blog out than you need to as soon as you finish reading this post!
Goodreads recommended this to me. I thought it sounded interesting and thought this would be the best time to read it.
JLA wrote this. Done deal. Plus look at how creepy the cover is!!!
I know this isn't really a "creepy" book, but I have been dying to read this, and I think I will need something to read in between these books that is a light fun read to keep me from going into a book hangover.
I LOVED Rebel Belle so when I saw that Hawkins wrote this book too it was a done deal.
I picked this book up and started reading it in the store and could NOT put it down. It is fantastic so far!!!
I got this an audio. Goodreads recommended this to me too so we will see how it goes.
Of course I had to get a Halloween mug to drink my tea in while I read =)  How cute is this Peanuts mug?!
and I had to get a movie to watch in between reading!!!!
I  hope I can get to all these books before Halloween. I have a HUGE test Friday a wedding Saturday BUT after the test I have nothing else to do and I have a entire day to read before the wedding Saturday. I also get Monday and Tuesday off so I am planning on doing ALOT of reading. I wish I would have thought of it earlier and did a read a long with you guys =(
What are you guys reading? If there is a book that you see on here that you think I should read first (after Illusions of Fate since I started that in the bookstore) Leave a comment letting me know
*ALSO please go to my last post and let me know what other types of posts you would like to see on here. I think it is important to hear from you guys so don't be shy!!!!!
