Inspiration For Teachers
These words were said to me and I needed to hear them, maybe some of you do too.
It is hard to see why we want to be teachers sometimes. Hard to say, but true. Classrooms are made now to run like businesses and children are forgotten. How do we find the time to reach all the children in our classrooms?  How do we reach all our students and let them know we truly care?
We FIGHT for our students. We remember them when the "man" tells us to run our classrooms like a business. We go that extra mile to remember that it is harder work to reach every student and make sure the material being learned really "clicks" and we never forget the students are the reason we decided to go on this journey.
After these words were told we were then shown this video....easy to say there wasn't a dry eye in the room. What Teachers Make
It is a really short poem that truly helped me remember why I chose this profession. I really felt the need to share that with you guys.

So what books did you buy this week? I would love to know what you are currently reading, and to catch up on some blogs =)
OHH and I know that last week I wasn't too great on commenting like I have been in the past. I am so sorry for that. I believe I have caught up on all the comments, and I promise I will be better this week =)

Back to School: Percy Jackson Style

As any fangirl or fanboy wherever you go you want to show your love of books. Being lovers of books we are a unique kind. We crush over fictional characters, they become our best friends, when they hurt we hurt. Books are our escape, our passion, our fun, hobby, friend, books are our lives. Pride comes with being a book nerd and it's something you should embrace. These books we love sometimes take over. We love them so much we want to be a part of that world. I wanted to help find ways for you to always feel close to your favorite books and characters. This week I wanted to do Percy Jackson because I mean who doesn't like Percy Jackson?! These outfits are loosely inspired by some of the loved characters from The Percy Jackson series or the book covers. I stayed on pinterest for hours (shocker right?) to find outfits that have simple pieces that you can find in your closet or wouldn't be hard to find for a good price at stores. I also wanted to find outfits that could easil

Meet My Book Boyfriends

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by   The Broke and the Bookish This week:  Top Ten Book Boyfriends/Girlfriends (Which characters do you have crushes on?) Tower of Dawn It's been a long time coming, but I finally gave in to Chaol. He's complex, confusing, dark, and endearing.  Lola and the Boy Next Door Cricket is my sweet boyfriend. He loves Lola for exactly who she is. He never asks her to change, and falls in love with every part of her.  The Raven Boys I refuse to pick. I want them all!  White Hot Kiss I like both men in this book, but if I had to pick, it would be Roth. I just love his attitude. I haven't read the last book. I'm not ready!!!!!!  Clockwork Angel Will is my moody and misunderstood boyfriend.  Touch of Power  Kerrick is the boyfriend that I'm not real sure why I like him, but I keep him around.  The Body Finder Oh Jay my sweet and loyal Jay. I love him with al

Characters I Never Trust

There are certain characters I never trust. If there is a murder, someone out to destroy the main character, and/or mysterious things are happening, it is almost always one of these characters behind it. The overly helpful adult or superior. This could be a teacher or leader that is always there to save you at the last minute. The superior who has all the answer that you need to solve the mystery.  Family member from the love interests side. It may be a mother who thinks the girl isn't good enough for her son or the power hungry father. Shy background/secondary character. The character who is awkward and maybe the friend that is in the circle because of a family link or the circle just feels sorry for them. The shy character who gets looked over and holds a grudge. You gotta watch the quite ones! Characters that come out of no where . The characters who coincidently show up  right before all cray breaks lose. It could be a long time friend that just so happens to be visitin
