Now and again, I get an urge for a book that gives me Twilight feels.

I fell in love with Twilight before it became the "must-read" book in the late 2000s. The love I had for Twilight will never be replicated because it's what gave me my passion for reading, but now and again, I'll find a book that has the same themes and atmosphere Twilight had, and it takes me back.

This book gives me if Bella would have fallen in love with Sam feels. In The Pack, the wolves are the kids that seem untouchable. Everyone in town knows there's something strange about this group of people, but no one seems to know precisely what makes them different. The kids at school call them "The Pack" because they seem so loyal to their clique that they don't have much to do with anyone else. The group is so exclusive that no one seems to be able to break the third wall between the pack and the rest of the world. That is until the new girl Jess shows up, and not only does she attract the pack’s attention, but she also seems to be getting much-unwanted attention from the Highschool's Football Coach.

This book contains a younger female and older male romance, so I advise skipping this one if that's not your thing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was quick, entertaining, and just the right amount of spice for my taste. The Pack is an excellent pallet cleanser or a fast read to get you out of a reading slump. I think this would be a great read if you miss those Twilight days.

If you are wanting to dip your toes into the spicier genre but you're reluctant, I think this is a great place to start. The Pack isn't a fade-to-black romance book, but it isn't so descriptive that you're afraid to read it in public. It's just the right balance of angst and romance for beginners.

My favorite character in this book was Jess's dad. I love when we have a parent figure that is present. While he may not be the most active dad, his busyness is understandable and feels relatable to the craziness of starting your life over as a single parent. He fiercely loves his daughter, and while he gives her the space to grow and learn who she is as a young adult, he still tries to gently guide her. We, as the reader, get to see conversations between him and his daughter where he is actively listening to her, and I find that very refreshing.

This quick read is available in Kindle Unlimited and I recommend giving it a try. I've had really good luck with Kindle Unlimited lately, and I'm excited to continue finding new authors on there to support. I would love to know the latest hidden gem you've found on Kindle Unlimited. Let me know in the comments below!

Back to School: Percy Jackson Style

As any fangirl or fanboy wherever you go you want to show your love of books. Being lovers of books we are a unique kind. We crush over fictional characters, they become our best friends, when they hurt we hurt. Books are our escape, our passion, our fun, hobby, friend, books are our lives. Pride comes with being a book nerd and it's something you should embrace. These books we love sometimes take over. We love them so much we want to be a part of that world. I wanted to help find ways for you to always feel close to your favorite books and characters. This week I wanted to do Percy Jackson because I mean who doesn't like Percy Jackson?! These outfits are loosely inspired by some of the loved characters from The Percy Jackson series or the book covers. I stayed on pinterest for hours (shocker right?) to find outfits that have simple pieces that you can find in your closet or wouldn't be hard to find for a good price at stores. I also wanted to find outfits that could easil

Of Poseidon

"Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen-literally, ouch!-both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom...Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance." I really enjoyed Of Poseidon  so much in fact that I have read it twice. Of Poseidon is the first book in the Syrena series, and this book is full of humor I was laughing from the very first page. The best part of this book was how much I laughed like a crazy person. Emma and Galen keep having strange encounters, and while Galen has an explanation for them, Emma just thinks he's a creepy stalker who wants to sue her for run
