This book is my ideal fun read. I thought this book was the perfect picture of a paranormal YA book. You have the angst love we all crave, fast paced action, and a VERY unique twist on a old tale of the seven deadly sins. I will be honest the first part I was afraid there was going to be insta love, but that is not what it is. What we see is our main male character doing his job extremely well...you will understand what I mean when you read the book! I highly recommend this book. I flew through it. I read this book and the next one in two days. I couldn't stop reading! I think this book is the perfect summer read because it is super fun, romantic, and you will want to devour it in one setting! So go buy this book, get comfy, and plan on doing nothing but reading for the rest of the day!

"Embrace the Forbidden

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?"

Okay I am going to start by saying....Wendy Higgins follows me on twitter and commented on one of my tweets, and I cannot tell you how hard I fangirled. I screamed and jumped and my husband thought I had finally lost it. I couldn't help but share because it made my day! Now, on to the review. I have to admit I was turned off in the beginning of the book. I thought that this book was going to be insta love. We have Anna at a concert and she locks eyes with Kaidan and BAM instant connection. But do not fear about that connection, because not everything is what it seems in this book. I really wish someone would have told me that when I started reading this book. I loved our main characters and the journey they go on. This book is all about dark and light and the gray that is between. Anna has to be the most loving and sweetest character I have ever read about, and it was really refreshing to see a main woman character who showed you do not have to be rough, standoffish, and cold to be a strong lead character. She cries and yes is sensitive at times, but I do not think these are things that we should consider weak. She is her own person and instead of letting her feelings bottle up and releases them and deals with them. Anna is strong in ways that are beyond refreshing. She is true to herself in every way, she doesn't compromise her beliefs, she stands by her way of life, but does not judge others. Anna is stronger than most characters, because she stays strong in hard situations and does not let anyone or anything change who she is. Anna is one of the strongest lead characters I have read about because of these reasons and more.

Kaidan is a very bad boy that you cannot help but love. I really enjoyed his character and thought he was the ideal YA romance type boy. His sin was not surprising, and I loved seeing what more he had to offer than just the bad boy side of him. I loved when Kaidan shared the different sides of him and learning more of how Kaidan grew up explained many things. There is more to sexy Kaidan that what he wants people to know. I could gush about Kaidan all day. He is probably one of my favorite male characters I have read about in awhile.
Yes this book has what many other YA paranormal books have. The moody boy, good girl, and agst love, but I promise you this series is so much more. It offers different twists on the deadly sins that seriously took major creativity. Higgins is truly gifted in not just writing, but also in major creativity. She creates these characters that from the beginning are already strong and throughout her books she has them grow so much. Higgins is the queen of character development. I had so much fun reading this book, and I am so glad I picked it up after finals. I think this is a great series to start when you need some relaxing fun. This series would be great to read during a marathon read a thon because you will not stop reading this series till you finish it anyway. So go grab these books, a couple of snacks, and cancel your plans because once you start you will not be able to stop.

Please let me know if you have read or plan of reading this book and your thoughts on it. Also if you have not read this book and you have a kindle than I highly suggest you click on the link and get the book while its 1.99! I do not know how long it will stay at this price but I would hurry and get it while it last!
I know I have been a little MIA lately, but that is stopping now. I am so happy to be back after a few stressful months I am now finding the time to do more things that bring me joy and bogging is one of them =)
Happy reading!

Back to School: Percy Jackson Style

As any fangirl or fanboy wherever you go you want to show your love of books. Being lovers of books we are a unique kind. We crush over fictional characters, they become our best friends, when they hurt we hurt. Books are our escape, our passion, our fun, hobby, friend, books are our lives. Pride comes with being a book nerd and it's something you should embrace. These books we love sometimes take over. We love them so much we want to be a part of that world. I wanted to help find ways for you to always feel close to your favorite books and characters. This week I wanted to do Percy Jackson because I mean who doesn't like Percy Jackson?! These outfits are loosely inspired by some of the loved characters from The Percy Jackson series or the book covers. I stayed on pinterest for hours (shocker right?) to find outfits that have simple pieces that you can find in your closet or wouldn't be hard to find for a good price at stores. I also wanted to find outfits that...
