In A Nutshell
I knew this was going to be a great book because Jenny Han wrote it. Han did not let me down in this book and I have to say I liked it better then The Summer I Turned Pretty and that is saying a lot!!! I fell in love with this book and listening to it was the best part of my day. If you want a great, fluffy, happy, funny book then this is for you. I highly recommend this book during a stressful time (anyone else getting ready for finals)? This book will make you feel better. The next book is coming out in May so you can marathon the first two books! I love a fluffy contemporary but sadly many of them are predictable. The author normally just relays on the angst. This book is different than any other fluffy contemporary I have ever read! This book really kept me own my toes. I couldn't figure out exactly how it was going to end, and I really enjoyed that aspect.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

I cannot believe I loved this book more than The Summer I Turned Pretty! I think it is because in some ways I related to Lara. I think we all relate to Lara Jean in some way. Here is this girl who has a heart of a nerd, walks to her own beat, speaks her truth, I mean what is not to love?! I loved listening to this audiobook and hearing Lara Jean pour her heart out in her letters. They were so raw and comical at times. I LOVED how this book never let me know exactly how this book would end. I love a fluffy contemporary but sadly many of them are predictable. The author normally just relays on the angst. This book is different than any other fluffy contemporary I have ever read!
We get to see Lara as a young girl learn what she wants in life, what she doesn't yet understand, and all the growing pains young girls go through in todays society. What I really loved about this book was the family Lara has. In YA we are use to having the main character be on their own, their family in the background or nonexistent all together. In this book your heart melts over all the sweet family moments and memories shared in this book. It left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside like it was Christmas time!
I want to keep this short and sweet because this is a book that should be treasured and not spoiled in anyway. I really hope you guys pick this book up and go ahead and grab the second and final book in this series because you will not regret it you have my word!
Let me know your thoughts on this amazing book, I love hearing from you guys =)
Happy reading,
Ashley

Back to School: Percy Jackson Style

As any fangirl or fanboy wherever you go you want to show your love of books. Being lovers of books we are a unique kind. We crush over fictional characters, they become our best friends, when they hurt we hurt. Books are our escape, our passion, our fun, hobby, friend, books are our lives. Pride comes with being a book nerd and it's something you should embrace. These books we love sometimes take over. We love them so much we want to be a part of that world. I wanted to help find ways for you to always feel close to your favorite books and characters. This week I wanted to do Percy Jackson because I mean who doesn't like Percy Jackson?! These outfits are loosely inspired by some of the loved characters from The Percy Jackson series or the book covers. I stayed on pinterest for hours (shocker right?) to find outfits that have simple pieces that you can find in your closet or wouldn't be hard to find for a good price at stores. I also wanted to find outfits that...
