Books I'm Hesitant to Read

There are many reasons different reasons to be hesitant to read a book. The hype may be too much, the sequel may not hold up to the first, or maybe the end to a cherished series seems to just be too final.  Caraval Two reasons keep me from reading this book. The first one is the hype . The hype is real for this book. I don't want the hype to get to me because I am known for working up high expectations for a hyped book. The second reason is this has the potential to a very heartbreaking ending, and I just don't know if I am prepared for that roller coaster. via GIPHY The Star Touched Queen This book is so beloved in our community , and being perfectly honest that scares me. I don't want to be the one who doesn't like it. Let's be honest, no one wants to be that one reviewer who doesn't like a beloved book. Even though we all understand that in this community we all have different opinions, and I am proud that I am always honest with my op...

Audio Book Review: The Darkest Part of the Forest

Title: The Darkest Part of the Forest Series: Nope, it is a standalone!!! Author: Holly Black Narrated by: Lauren Fortgang Overall Goodreads Rating: 4.04 Genre: YA Fantasy Hours long: 8 HRS 39 MINS Published: Published January 13th 2015 by Hachette Audio My Overall Rating: 5/5 Stars! In A Nut Shell This is one of the best books I have read in a long time! These fairytale retelling was everything I was hoping for and more. A heroine who works hard to protect others, a brother who melted my heart with how much love he had to offer, and a horned boy who sleeps in a glass castle in the middle of the woods. This book was so magical and Blacks writing was fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend the audio book because Lauren is beyond talented and kept my interest at all times, which can be difficult for me while listening to audio books. This book made me remember how much I LOVE a creative fairy tell retailing sometime...

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by   The Broke and the Bookish This Week:  Ten Hidden Gem Books in X Genre : Pick a genre and share with us some books that have gone under the radar in that genre! OKAY I AM CHEATING!!!! I am going to pick YA in general. I am sure that I could find a way to make all of these books fit into fantasy, but I do believe some fall more towards paranormal. I am so excited to find so many hidden gems in everyone's posts today! via GIPHY Starcrossed I will talk about this book until the end of time. I see some people haul it, but they never get around to reading it, and it breaks my heart. I love the star cross lovers plot, the family dynamic, the comedy relief, and the fun twists to a classic. My love for this book will never die.  Embrace This is another one that seems to be on alot of TBR lists, but not enough people have actually read it. I am currently re-reading this gem, and will have a revi...
