Weekly Recap






The Raven Boys



This week has been pretty calm. The fall open house for our boutique went well last week. I think I'm overly exhausted from it, so I've been taking it easy. I am waiting on some job news so if you could send up a prayer or good vibes for me that would be appreciated! 

The hubs and I took a trip to the next town over on Friday, and went to this cute indie coffee shop. It was so refreshing, and makes me wonder why I ever go to Starbucks.  Well it's mostly because we have zero indie coffee shops in our town, and someone needs to fix that! 

While in the big city the hubs took me to the bookstore!
I cannot tell you guys the last time we went together, and I cherish when we get the time to do so. I didn't find the books I was looking of, but it was just nice to stroll and look.

I've been working on redoing my office. I really want it to be a space for writing, and not just working and storing items for the boutique. I just need a change of pace in that room. It is starting to feel like a place I get trapped in, and we all know that is not good for creativity. 





I am starting something new on the blog MONDAY, and I am super excited about it. I am curious to see what kind of response it gets. It's always excited to start something new.

BACK TO SCHOOL: Schools in Books

This week on Back to School I wanted to help you guys feel in sync with some great characters. I wanted to pick some books for you guys that I love that take place in school environments. Now school will not be the main point or problem these characters go through, but they do go through some of the tough situations and stress you guys do at school. Some characters live on campus and deal with the drama of being independent for the first time, missing home, the struggle of finding who they truly are, drama, and parties. College is a hard time for many people because you are finding your own self on your own terms. Mommy and daddy aren't there to tell you what to do or how to act. Some struggle while others flourish.   I HAD to put girls in this post that loved to learn and enjoyed the structure of school. I sometimes forget that learning can be looked at on a bright note. Review: Becoming Alpha by Aileen Erin
