Frostbite Essentials: Food & Treats

Hey guys so this is your essentials list for Frostbite. Frostbite takes place at a ski lodge and of course I found this a perfect time to read this book since it is a beautiful winter wonderland for most of us right now, and what goes better with a cold snowy day then hot chocolate and a pot of soup? I will have links below to AMAZING recipes for a couple of homemade hot chocolates that have unique twists to them. I will also have recipes for soups, and some of them will be crockpot recipes so you can just throw the ingredients in the pot and get back to reading!
I love this girls YouTube channel and she has some really yummy hot chocolate recipes! The first one is her s'mores hot chocolate!

This next one is my FAVORITE it is so rich and creamy and perfect I HIGHLY recommend this one. *Tip if you do not have the hot chocolate she has, do not worry! I have used this recipe with many different hot chocolates. As long as you use a really rich chocolate it will be great!

Of course I had to put on here hot chocolate on a stick

Now on to the soups!

This slow cooker vegetable soup looks so hearty and yummy, and I have it pinned to try!

We had this sausage and bean soup last night and it was GREAT! We actually forgot to put the noodles in, but we added frozen spinach and it was incredible.

If you haven’t heard of skinny taste blog you are missing out! She has amazing recipes that are on the lighter side. Here is her turkey chili taco soup.
I hope you guys like this post and if you try any of the recipes let me know in the comments =)

Healthy Reading Snacks

If you are anything like me you love to snack. As I have mentioned on here before I have been working hard to change my eating habits. So here are some healthy snack ideas that you can try next time you are wanting a nice snack to munch on while reading a great book. Frozen Grapes  The first one if the easiest. You take grapes, wash them, put them in a freezer friendly container, and then put them in the freezer. I like to leave them in the freezer for at least 3 hours. Over night is best. Quick tip: If you have a soar throat frozen grapes feel AMAZING on your throat. My mom use to make them for me when I had strep throat.  If you want something sweet but don't want the guilt, this tea is for you. It is rich and chocolaty with a little kick, and no ingredients that are bad for you.  This is a black tea so it has CAFFEINE. In case you cannot see the tea's name it is Numi Indulgent Tea Chocolate Spice  Zucchini Pizza  What You need : One Me...

Back to School: Percy Jackson Style

As any fangirl or fanboy wherever you go you want to show your love of books. Being lovers of books we are a unique kind. We crush over fictional characters, they become our best friends, when they hurt we hurt. Books are our escape, our passion, our fun, hobby, friend, books are our lives. Pride comes with being a book nerd and it's something you should embrace. These books we love sometimes take over. We love them so much we want to be a part of that world. I wanted to help find ways for you to always feel close to your favorite books and characters. This week I wanted to do Percy Jackson because I mean who doesn't like Percy Jackson?! These outfits are loosely inspired by some of the loved characters from The Percy Jackson series or the book covers. I stayed on pinterest for hours (shocker right?) to find outfits that have simple pieces that you can find in your closet or wouldn't be hard to find for a good price at stores. I also wanted to find outfits that...

Review: Becoming Alpha by Aileen Erin

Title: Becoming Alpha  Author: Aileen Erin  Genre: Paranormal Fantasy  Pages: 267 Goodreads Overall Rating: 4.11 Published:  December 17th, 2013 by Ink Monster, LLC   My Rating:  I can’t do that. I can’t turn my emotions off and on like that. I’m either all in or all out. And if you can’t do that—if I don’t come first, then for God’s sake, leave me alone. Becoming Alpha is the true definition of YA paranormal fantasy and I devoured it. Erin took troupes that are known in YA and ran with them in fun, plausible, and exciting ways while taking her own spin on them. I sped through this book and right after I downloaded the next book in the series because I couldn't wait for the two-day shipping of the physical book.  At the beginning of the book, we meet our main character Tessa and her family. Tessa has an unusual gift and it has marked her as the odd girl out at and causing her to feel isolated. With her family...
