Book Talk: I'm a Bad Closer

Okay I have a problem, and I hope I'm not alone. I love a good series, but I get very emotionally involved. So when the end of a series comes around I get excited to see how it will all end, but the more I love a series the more likely I am to put off reading the last book. I don't want the story to end, and let's be honest many authors kill off characters in the end causing us book lovers to die a little inside. I don't like saying goodbye to characters, and this lead me to the idea of sharing a list of series I love but can't make myself finish.

This is the last book in Throne of Glass series , and I am not ready for what could happen. The book before this ended in such a crazy way I'm not sure I will make it through the last book. I went to start reading it, and I just wasn't ready and had to walk away. I am so emotionally involved in this series I feel like the characters are family, and I'm not ready to see how their story ends.

The Sky Fall  series is one of the few elemental series that I've read and loved! I thought it was so unique and I couldn't put it down. The main reason I haven't read the last book in the series is because it's been so long since I've read the other books I'm afraid I won't remember important things. I also am afraid of rereading series I love because I'm terrified the magic won't be there anymore. Can anyone relate?

The Dark Element series has to be one of the funniest series I've read in a long time! It's fast paced, steamy, sweet, and dark I loved it! The reason I haven't read the last book is because I know someone is going to have their heart broken, and no matter who it is my heart is going to break with them. JLA is one of my favorite authors, and I know I'll love the book, but I'm not ready for the tears.

An Ember in the Ashes was DARK y'all! I mean it was hard for me to get through at times,  but the book was so well written and fast paced I really enjoyed it. I truly did like the book, but it's hard to push myself to read a dark books sometimes.

This is one that I don't have an excuse for. I loved JLA's paranormal twist in Wicked and it's sit in New Orleans. It was a fun quick New Adult read that I really enjoyed. The only thing that has kept me from diving into Torn is that I think it just got lost in the hustle and bustle of new releases and a heavy TBR.

I have raved about my love for Pivot Point on here before. The ending was one of the best endings I've read because I didn't see it coming at all! In all honesty the reason I haven't read Split Second is because duology's normally fall short for me. I always finish them feeling like the story was rushed and leave the story feeling lackluster.

There is my list of series I haven't finished, and reasons of why I'm a bad closer. Are you a bad closer as well? If so what series have you not finished, and why? I would love to hear from you! I hope you're having a great Monday.

Back to School: Percy Jackson Style

As any fangirl or fanboy wherever you go you want to show your love of books. Being lovers of books we are a unique kind. We crush over fictional characters, they become our best friends, when they hurt we hurt. Books are our escape, our passion, our fun, hobby, friend, books are our lives. Pride comes with being a book nerd and it's something you should embrace. These books we love sometimes take over. We love them so much we want to be a part of that world. I wanted to help find ways for you to always feel close to your favorite books and characters. This week I wanted to do Percy Jackson because I mean who doesn't like Percy Jackson?! These outfits are loosely inspired by some of the loved characters from The Percy Jackson series or the book covers. I stayed on pinterest for hours (shocker right?) to find outfits that have simple pieces that you can find in your closet or wouldn't be hard to find for a good price at stores. I also wanted to find outfits that could easil

Of Poseidon

"Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen-literally, ouch!-both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom...Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance." I really enjoyed Of Poseidon  so much in fact that I have read it twice. Of Poseidon is the first book in the Syrena series, and this book is full of humor I was laughing from the very first page. The best part of this book was how much I laughed like a crazy person. Emma and Galen keep having strange encounters, and while Galen has an explanation for them, Emma just thinks he's a creepy stalker who wants to sue her for run
